SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

To apply for a month, you need to submit 2-3 clear, well lit, UNEDITED pictures of you in your costume, and the concept/theme for the shoot. They don't have to be professional shots, we just want to see what your costume looks like.

Try to pick a theme that compliments the season and your costume! We'd love to see Halloween, Christmas, New Years, Valentine's Day, etc, but there's also Black History month, pi day, Talk like a Pirate Day, etc. It's also fine if you just want to do a really cool cosplay + the appropriate seasonal background. (ex: Harry Potter + winter)

You CAN submit more than one costume -- however, if you are chosen, we will only use one costume for your page.

We are staggering the submissions slightly, starting with winter, so people can get started on their shoots when the weather looks appropriate.

- Months -
WINTER (January, November, December, January 2013, February 2013)

SPRING (March, April, May, March 2013, April 2013)

SUMMER (June, July, August)

FALL (September, October, November)

Please make sure to read the following info carefully!

If you are interested in being in the calendar (or helping with it), here's what you should know:

1) No one is getting paid upfront. Money will come from the sales, split evenly, minus a small percentage that will be donated to a mutually agreed upon charity the girls choose (such as Princess Leah)

We will be taking the calendars to cons and trying to get them sold at gaming stores, friend's booths, etc, and generally promoting them like maniacs to try and boost sales. No one is going to get rich off this project, but if we all pitch in, we could make a bit of extra costume money ;P

2) There are only so many months in a year. It would be lovely to include everyone, but that's just not feasible. If the calendar does even moderately well, we'll do more, and make an effot to include girls who weren't in the first one. We will be doing a 16 month calendar and allocating 4 months for group shoots so we can include the most people possible.

3) (VERY IMPORTANT) Each girl is going to be responsible for getting her month shot on her own. The photographer's work needs to be approved ahead of time, and the photographer needs to be willing to sign us commercial/editing rights to the shots. (Photographers are welcome to the high res, edited, finished calendar photo for their own use)

We have a lot of very talented volunteer photographers, so please don't let fear of finding the right photographer deter you from entering!

4) The calendar girls are chosen by a small art committee of female photographers and cosplayers. There's no formal system for it, it's just whomever they pick. If you don't get in, it's not a conspiracy, nobody hates you, your costume is very awesome, we just don't have enough months!

5) The goal is to produce a really artistically gorgeous and sexy calendar that everyone is proud of :) Your input and ideas are always encouraged.

Please email if you have any further questions.
